Posted my review for Pitfall the Mayan Adventure for the 32X, and I think this concludes my string of Mayan Adventure reviews.
What do you think?

The frame rate is odd on this one, it’s not choppy per ‘se it’s the fact the layers are running at different frame rates one at 60 and one at 30. I believe the Mega Drive/Genesis is controlling one layer and the 32x another which in itself is not unusual but having them at different frame rates makes a bit of a mess.

Never played this version, and bad reviews have prevented me from searching it out. SEGA CD version is my version. It's interesting to see the different versions all reviewed in the same time frame.

Man, this game is everything wrong with old school western design philosophies.
No wonder why Japan was kicking their asses.

Back in the 3rd through 5th gen that was mostly true on the console/handheld space as the western games where king on PC. During the 6th gen western games became more popular on Console even though Japan was a slight edge. It was the 7th gen/early half of 8th gen where the west overtook Japanese games. But as of 2017 to present Japan has been making a resurgence.
