This set of Atari 2600 reviews includes two new homebrews (you can get from www.atariage.com) and one re-review of an old clunker from Parker Bros.  As usual, your comments are welcome.

Good to see, that you started reviewing Atari 2600 homebrews again. Did you finally get your Kroko Cart?

I would give "A-VCS-Tec Challenge" a B.. Yes, it has C gameplay, but the graphics and sound are such an alarming technical acheivement, that it bumps it up a grade. I also find the music of this game to be so good, that it draws me into the experience and makes me enjoy the game more then maybe I should.

I would also like to point out that this game suffers the from the same thing that "Cosmic Ark" does...................you get 2 seperate screens that have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with each other, making it seem like a hodgepodge of 2 entirely different games.

I hope you got "Toyshop Trouble".........this game kicks serious serious butt

I never had this problem with Cosmic Ark. IMO those screens are perfectly linked together. You fly from planet to another one, evading regular meteor showers, pick up the creatures on the planet (with meteors again!) and repeat.

I always liked Cosmic Ark too...without the original second screen, the game would be a poor mans SPACE ZAP! - I can't think of any other game on the 2600 like CA screen 2, and all the different beasties give you something to fight for!

VGC...right on , on Sky Skipper, but I don't know why you'd DEFEND Parker Bros. as a whole. Yes, their FIRST TWO games, Frogger and Empire Strikes Back, were excellent, but look at all the junk they made later...Amidar, Strawberry Shortcake, GI Joe, Tutankham (not the worst but could be better), Jedi Arena, and on and on.. most PB games have good sound, AWFUL graphics (except Strawbery Shortcake and Frogger), but boring or erratic play. Sky Skipper was a loser as a coin-op too, though, and BTW, it was the FIRST Nintendo coin-op that had a Gorilla! (Could that be Donkey Kong's grampa!?)

VGC, you mentioned Ladybug for the Intellivision in your review of the 2600, but you haven't reviewed the intellivision version.  Any plans to do so in the near future?

Did someone request more Intellivision reviews?

I'd like to see The Critic review the many INTV homebrews available!

Well, they did bring up Monopoly and Scrabble, so that has to be worth something...
