The baseball extravaganza continues. These are three of my favorite baseball games, so I thought their reviews deserved to be fleshed out more. Enjoy.

i disagree, baseball games were one of the cornerstones of the industry. who can forget the george plimpton ad for intellivision major league baseball that showed a side by side view of it and home run for the 2600?

Critic PUHLEASE, I HATE Baseball...six Bball games in a row? Golf is a spring sport too, Y'know! (actually here in Maine SLEDDING
is a "spring" sport...still snow on the ground April 9th!)..
I see I am not alone in being disgruntled. (I ain't been DIS'
gruntled in a long time!)...MIX UP YOUR reviews more! How about some classic reviews (or handhelds), or Wii if you got one yet.
If you MUST do more baseball games, re-review Atari 2600 HOMERUN,
INTV and Coleco/5200 Baseball! At least I'll read THOSE!

Man, have a bit a patience, fellas. (-:
I'm enjoying the baseballs reviews, myself. I would like to see some of these games hit the ol' Virtual Console.

Yeah I figured some people would react like that, which is why I posted all of the baseball reviews in two days - to get them overwith so we could "get back to our normally scheduled program".

I have only enjoyed 3 baseball games: Atari 2600 Realsports baseball (but it quickly grew boring); Atari 5200 Baseball (still great!); and World Series Baseball II on the Saturn. I rented newer ones and blech.

One of the best baseball games I've ever had the pleasure of playing was High Heat Baseball. For a while it was only a PC game, but I think in 2003 or 2004 they made a PS2/XBOX version. It was graphically inferior to the competition, but it had gameplay to spare.
The gameplay was realistic and rarely did games turn into 21-17 homerun fests. I would love to see the Critic review this PS2/XBox game. I believe it had Curt Schilling on the cover. High Heat Baseball...one of the overlooked baseball games of all time.
