Did you ever think...?

I think the most striking thing in gaming today  is  the amount of vapid and false political correctness coming from the game media and certain prominent game studios, even while they still embrace and accept the generic stupidity of most game premises, all while still pretending  and promoting games are some sort of new art form.

Games are extremely contradictory these days.

Did you ever think that we would be able to play an HD remake of Capcom's Ducktales, complete with voice acting from the original cast?

Did you ever imagine that you would be able to download entire arcade games to your console? It's weird to think that, for the most part, you could have an entire early-90's arcade in a tiny box underneath your tv.

Did you ever imagine that you would one day be able to play games with people from across the country?

There's no "vapid" and "false" political correctness, that's absolute nonsense, and games are not "contradictory" and most do not have "generic stupidity" either, don't know where on earth you got that from.

Did you ever imagine EA would crank out the same damn game every year with Madden?

Did you ever think Streets of Rage 3 would be the last in the series?

Did you ever think people would still be playing 2600 games 35 years later?

Did you ever think Knack would just be an average game?

Did you ever think that Japan would be the center of game development?

Did you ever think that Japan would no longer be the center of game development?

Did you ever think Nintendo would add a "U" to Wii and think it would not confuse casual gamers?

Did you ever think games would have "updates" that add extra stages and correct bugs?

Did you ever think that games would start requiring you to be online to do basic things such as saving and playing the single player mode?

Did you ever think that secondary services like Netflix would be a determining factor in people buying a console?

Did you ever think that the internet would allow people to buy games that they never would have a chance to play othewise?

Did you ever think that home consoles would eventually surpass what was available in arcades, to the point that arcades (at least in their original glory) became mostly a thing of the past?
