Best and worst videogame snack?

Postby ptdebate1 » June 9th, 2014, 6:55 pm

I'm really bored so I decided to make this thread.

Mine:

Best: White Chocolate Macadamia Clif bars
-Reasons: they're delicious, filling, and can be eaten easily without removing snack from package
Worst: Cheetos
-They make your hands nasty, which transfers to controller and anything else you touch. It's feasible to pour them from the bag into your mouth, but that blocks the screen.
-They're intentionally addictive. Read up on "vanishing caloric density" and its impact on appetite.

Best: Any nuts, preferably Cashews

Buttery, light, and doesn't wig you out like those terrible Energy Drinks

Worst: Pretend Fuel Anything (like "Gamerfuel")

What are you doing playing games if your blood sugar is below average? Having a little restraint isn't worth spending eight bucks on overdone branding.

[/QUOTE]I agree. I'd probably say the ideal snack would be a mix of peanuts, almonds, cashews, macadamias, brazil nuts, peacans, raisins and sunflower kernals. I'd also recommend pouring it all into a styrofoam or plastic cup and eat them by pouring the cup into your mouth rather than picking them out by hand because the peanut oil and stuff will get all over your hand(s) and eventually your controller(s).

The best? Pretty much any hard candy. Sweet Tarts, Bottlecaps, Gobstoppers, Sprees, Runts. They're simple. Just reach over into your little bowl of snacks, and there you go. Keep it right next to your beer and you're all good. The worst? Cheetos. Oh...my....goodness. The [EXPLETIVE] CHEEEETTTTOOOOSSSS. I love Cheetos, they're amazing, and I have them all the time, but your hands get too damn cheesy!

Taco Bell. C'mon, what goes better hand-in-hand than Taco Bell and video games? Only problem is, don't play online unless you can convince your opponent to wait when you have to pause the game for ten minutes or so.

Jeez Tron, going all healthy on us...

Actually, yours is probably my favorite yet. I would substitute edamame for the celery though.

Best: Gin and Tonic (so light and refreshing!)

Worst: Gin and Tonic (after a 2 or 3, reflexes go straight to hell...)
