VGC has often said that he doesn't like food around his controllers due to it making the buttons sticky. I'm sort of a glutton, so I do eat while I play. And I get sticky buttons.
The solution to this seems to be tuner cleaner from Radio Shack. I got it from this video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZGEmbJ7JuI. My X52 Rudder needed fixing. And I had a sticky button on my PS3 controller. Decided to try the stuff on it, and it worked. The controller was greasy for a few days, but once that went away, the button came unstuck, and the controller worked well once again.
Sure beat another fifty dollar trip to Gamestop!
