Hey guys, I used to hang out here quite a bit 8-10 years ago. Alien blue was a frequent poster then. I've been slowly
Checking out the site again, but haven't seen any posts by him. Is he still around? Thanks!!

He was in terrible health, but still active 3 years ago when I was more active.

Goodness, I had forgotten about him.

From what I remember Alienblue tried to log in and send us all a message about a year ago...maybe a bit longer.  I seem to recall that he had help from one of our other users to get the message posted.  Ol' Alienblue always had trouble with his computer and accessing this site.  I can't remember if he can access it now or not.  He might be able to read the forums but not log in and post...not sure.  Perhaps he's too busy getting new high scores in Mr. Do and Ladybug to bother coming online!  I do miss his presence on these boards though...he was a unique guy that almost always had something positive to say.

Voor glad to see you again.  I remember when I first joined these boards back in 2005 you were one of the 'regulars'.  It's always nice seeing people come back to the forums!  Maybe Zenzerotron, Sega Saturn X or Bluemonkey will pop up next!

Hey Voor, welcome back. If I remember correctly, you went by Voorhiessa back in the day. Regarding Alienblue, he hasn't been here for a few years. In fact, I not long ago inquired about him and many of the other old-time posters who haven't been around for a while.

Snakeboy stated in the above thread that he still had regular contact with Alienblue (as of March 2014).

Again, welcome back.

Thanks guys....I logging off for the final time during grad school. Between work, family, and other real life stuff, there hasn't been much time for gaming over the last 7-8 years. And because I haven't really for into the last couple of generations of consoles (I like NES through GameCube stuff more), I don't feel like I've missed too much. So, I hope to slowly creep back into gaming.

Glad to hear that some of the "old guys" are still around. And yes, voorhiessa was the old name.

Welcome back! I've only been a member since 2012 but I contribute my comments, questions, and obnoxious opinions whenever I have time. This is an awesome forum!

I remember going through a similar gaming hiatus in late high school/early college. It was the period from late 2005 to early 2010.

The single game I credit with getting me back into gaming was Demon's Souls. If you like old school action games, it's a must-play.

I also initially wrote off the games released during my time away from the hobby. How easy it is to paint a target around the arrow! Needless to say, I was wrong. Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Super Mario Galaxy, Call of Duty, and numerous other series are exemplary experiences that will provide enjoyment to anyone who loves good videogames. I'd recommend dipping into that generation-7 backlog if you have time! The games are super cheap and very easy to find. Although I'm 100% a Sony guy, I'd have to recommend going the Xbox 360 route if you're starting from scratch. The console is simply more user-friendly.

I have been posting on this site on and off again since around 2005, and have been following Dave since his first beginnings. I had often wondered what happened to some of the "old" guys, like Alien (and Zen, who was always giving Alien a hard time).

Its good to see that a few of the old guys do post here still, and its good to see the fresh "meat"!

I believe Sega Saturn X has been gone since 2006 or 2007.  I'd be pleasantly shocked if he showed up again.

First of all, welcome back, Voor! I remember you from my early days on the forums.

Alienblue did return a year or so ago, and I was so freaking happy. Alienblue has long been one of my favorite posters on here, and I really miss him. If he came back, I'd be overjoyed. There's a gaping hole in his absence, but luckily, it's being filled by awesome newer users like Ptdebate.
