Today the boards were so slow basically nobody could get in. I
It was like the site was being hammered.

I took some actions and the activity has subsided. Frankly I don't know if my actions really helped or the condition subsided on its own.

Anyway I guess these are some of the challenges we're going to face.
Hopefully things will settle down in the coming days and weeks!

Well, I know as of this morning, they are still dirt slow. Surprising, given its a Sunday morning. I wouldn't think the site's traffic would be that high at this time.

For the first in ages the board has not been in slow mo mode for me.

This is coming from London.

I've noticed that the boards will be fine for five minutes, than slow for another five, and it keeps going back and forth. I usually run through the five stages of grief during my login sessions on the forum. Okay... It''s not that bad, lol. I usually open a second tab on my Firefox and browse other things while I wait for the pages to load. Hopefully, it gets fixed with an update.

Is it all the spam bots trying to get through?
