Old games at the arcade

Postby shootingstar » July 3rd, 2016, 4:00 pm

I went to my local Dave and Buster's today. I had not been there for a few years so a lot has changed but I was amazed that some old games were still there.

They still had House of the Dead II and III. I guess that shows how great those games are that they still make enough money to keep around. Even more strange, they still had Datyona USA (the Sega Saturn version!) I do not know how many people still play such an old game but obviously a good amount of people still do.

My local D&Bs (two of them) have purged all their older games over the past few years. They have the Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga and Donkey Kong/DK Jr. multicabs, but that's it.

Fortunately there are like six retro barcades that have opened in the last five years to fill the gap.
