The Future of Light Gun games?

For years I've lamented the death of the light gun genre, and wondered if it would ever return.

Well, now it has, in an unexpected way. Check out this game:

Along with Rush of Blood, it looks like VR is tailor-made for the light gun genre.
It makes sense. It's first person by nature. It's best with some form of motion control.
And the immersive nature of VR will make the action more exciting.

I wish Sony would send me their gear so I can review it!
