This is very big news as many of the Nintendo Arcade games have never been re-released in Arcade Perfect form!

And a big surprise western AAA M rated 3rd party is back on Nintendo!: http://nintendoeverything.com/bethesda- ... to-switch/

Both Doom and Wolfenstein II: the New Colossus are 100% PC/PS4/Xbox One in mind games that are very demanding in terms of graphics/game play. This very much shows just how powerful the Nintendo Switch is in terms of raw power as it is the only handheld powerful enough to handle full FAT games that would have been impossible to do on less powerful hardware such as the Wii U/PS3/Xbox 360/PS Vita/3DS. And that is thank to the power of the Nvidia based GPU architecture hardware. That was proven powerful on the original Xbox GPU being the only 6th Gen Console strong enough to run Doom 3 properly!

Thoughts?

When I first heard about the 2016 Doom, at no point did the notion of it coming to a Nintendo system ever cross my mind. The times are clearly changing for the better.

The Nintendo arcade titles aren't quite as groundbreaking in comparison, but nevertheless a pleasant surprise when you consider that most of them have never had official re-releases because Nintendo insists on porting the NES versions of said games ad infinitum. Punch-Out is particularly unexpected because of how different it is from any other version of the game.

Rather ironic that the Switch gets an obscure arcade version of Super Mario Bros before getting the very-much-not-obscure NES version.

I hope we get the Mario Kart Arcade GP games, as well as some of Ninty's pre Donkey Kong arcade games.
