Happy New Year 2018

Just wanted to wish you all a Happy 2018 and thank those who have been using my Amazon/Ebay links. They did well over the holidays and I appreciate your patronage! Also thanks to my Patreon pledgers. Not many left but thanks for hanging in there.
This site is going on 20 years old! I wouldn't have believed it in 1999 when I started it, but hey, why stop now? Might as well keep it going, right? Nothing else to do!
I'd say the state of gaming is pretty strong in 2018. The general trend towards online-requirements/incomplete-games/long-installations/endless-patches seems to have been stemmed by the runaway success of Nintendo's Switch system. People told me years ago physical media was finished but I'm still sticking to my guns. Digital may be here to stay but there's something to be said for holding a game in the palm of your hand.
Retro gaming seems to be bigger than ever, if the inflated prices are any indication. Fortunately Nintendo and other companies have stepped up to meet the demand with the SNES classic and similar systems, helping to keep classic titles alive and well. Hopefully I'll be able to snag an SNES classic this year so I can finally review Starfox 2.
Got plenty of new reviews queued up and headed your way (for EVERY system), so stay tuned. Also a few new specials, like the Top 50 Worst games of all time.
Cheers
Dave/VGC
