New Stuff on Atari Age

Postby VideoGameCritic » April 16th, 2018, 5:55 pm

I've been meaning to order Super Cobra Arcade (Atari 2600) for some time and I finally placed an order today. I was browsing around on the Atari Age store, and man - there are a lot of new games on there I would love to review.

https://www.atariage.com/store/

I noticed a bunch of Atari Jaguar games for $70! If you guys have some recommendations I'm all ears.
I really wish I could get a discount. *sad face*

Rebooteroids with the dial controller.

Not that I have it, but I'd love to read your review. I'm trying to figure out if I should keep my Jaguar or downsize. Seeing it in the link made me really want it as all the comments say it's akin to playing Asteroids mated with Tempest 2K.

ActRaiser - your wildest fantasies have come true!!

Look in my Jaguar section - I reviewed Rebooteroids (with dial controller) a while back. Your welcome! ;)

Have you talked to Albert? He might be willing to work something out if he knows you're certain to review the games in question and link back to AtariAge in your reviews.

(Let me emphasize that I'm not speaking for him or on his behalf, nor would I presume to do so. It just seems to me that it'd be worth it to ask, especially given the VGC's high profile.)

One can also get a small discount by becoming an AtariAge subscriber which, if you buy enough homebrews, would pay for itself.

goldenband,
Yes I have spoken to Albert in the past, but since the margin is so narrow on these titles he can't give me a discount.
I agree however that between me buying games regularly and posting review links, it would work out well for them.
Then again, I can't promise a positive review.

Put in a good word for me guys!

Probably its better to get them non discounted. Makes being objective and frank easier.

I would like to see a review of Phase Zero. AtariAge isn't the only company which sells it; a couple of old Atari Dealers are still around, & they stock it. (Best Electronics, I think.) Not sure if there are differences between the versions; someone mentioned a patch to fix the game & make the last levels playable. Not sure if anyone found it.
