I hate the tone of this article and similar ones like it. They are always making excuses for the publishers.
The fact is that campaigns in games like this are incredibly time-consuming and expensive to produce.
Well boo hoo! Are we supposed to feel sorry for the game companies? Isn't this their job?
Also, the campaign is the one aspect of the game that is never monetized post-launch, and in the current gaming climate, that’s key as well
I love how this is thrown in as an afterthought, despite the fact that it really gets to the heart of the issue.
Oh well, at least I'll save an extra $60 this year. Just like I'm saving money by not getting the new Madden.
