Does the 7800 have a common power problem?

I just acquired three 7800 consoles the other day from a guy who said he hadn't used them in a long time, but the last time he did, they worked. I have at least 4 different 7800 power supplies, 2 of which are new. Non of the consoles turn on. The light doesn't come on or anything. Is there a common problem that 7800s have that these might all have? And is it something I can fix with my basic soldering skills?
