Tv turned to junk right around the time Pong and Computer Space were being developed (I'd say it started when CBS killed every program with a tree in it around 1970).

Those are really cool. I remember a lot of them, and I believe I have the Kirby Pinball Land commercial on an old VHS (with a Christmas movie, my family recorded Christmas specials). I find it hilarious that old system commercials went on smear campaigns; especially with the ill-fated "64 bit" Jaguar. It's also funny how old game commercials showed the final boss in the commercial. That would never happen today, because gamers would flip. Thanks for putting up this post.
