Looking for some good N64 suggestions that are off the beaten path a little...stuff that maybe wasn't a critical hit or is maligned by some but you love. Weird, offbeat, or just underrated stuff. So no perfect dark, etc.
Just getting back into classic gaming and never really focused on this system.

Have you heard of Space Station Silicon Valley? It's a unique game for the N64, and really fun.

I'd recommend the Mystical Ninja series (2nd and 3rd game) both are exclusive for the N64 and in another post you mentioned playing Croc for PS1, so figured you liked platformers. The 2nd game is more of a 2d platformer while the 3rd game is a 3D platformer. Both are pretty solid games and I honestly don't think they get recommended nearly enough.

I'd like to throw California Speed out there. Its a really cool racing game with awesome places you can drive through. In the Mojave Desert, you can drive through a spaceship. Really cool game, you should check it out.

The two Zelda, Ogre Battle, Golden Eye, and Flying Dragon. Flying Dragon, as a severely underrated vs fighter for the system, you might not have heard of. It's part of the Hiryu no Ken series
(on Famicom, Game Boy and Super Famicom ), and it's much, much better than things like Fighter's Destiny. I actually only recently discovered this game had come out, I just had to get it, am I glad I did^^

I recently heard about Hybrid Heaven, a wrestling/third person adventure/rpg. Definitely off the beaten path.

I'm not sure if it would stand the test of time but I really enjoyed Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire when it came out.
It's not necessarily what you'd call a hidden gem but I loved it.

The first NFL Blitz on the Nintendo 64 (released in 1998). It's incredible. And you can see Peyton Manning choke as a rookie. It's so funny because they made Ryan Leaf one of the best qb's in this game. I recommended the VGC review this game, because the Special Edition in 2001 he gave a B- gives people the wrong impression of Blitz on the N64. Of all the games I've suggested he review, I think this is by far the most important because people need to know that the N64 put out an A+ version of Blitz
