Wow, an F- review. We don't see those every day. I'm glad you enjoyed the other games. Maybe they make up for the bad one? And, yes, I'd like reviews of old monochrome Game Boy games.

I am the same way, I also enjoy Slim world quite a bit and still play it often!

Long time reader, first time commenter.
VGC, I understand that opinions differ and I have no problem if you genuinely feel Slime World on the Lynx deserves an F-. But I do feel that I should point out at least one factual inaccuracy in you review ...
You state that it's 'not obvious when you taking damage, and you can drop dead for no apparent reason.' Not only does your character gradually change color when he's taking damage, but the accompanying sfx is quite loud too (and rather annoying if I'm being honest) With both of these indicators, I'm not sure how you couldn't realize you were dying. In any event, I hope pointing out these visual and audio cues might make it easier for you should you decide to re-visit the game. And perhaps you could correct that part of the review.
I remain a fan of both Slime World & the VGC!

Slime World is a difficult, yet still very fun game. FYI, it was also released on the Sega Genesis. Thanks for the Lynx reviews! It's one of my favorite systems.

Here we are at the 10 year anniversary (well, 10.66 year). Curious if the VGC will ever try and re-review Slimeworld. I know Dave will periodically come back and update reviews, this certainly sounds like it could stand one.

I will, because especially for systems where I have no new games to review, I'm always looking for games that need a re-review. Stay tuned.
