Do you own any arcade machines?

Postby VideoGameCritic » May 9th, 2013, 8:45 pm

I thought it might be interesting to hear how many of you own full-size arcade games or pinball machines.  I have collected a few over the years:

Centipede
Millipede
Crystal Castles
Tapper (Budweiser version)

Pinball:
Lord of the Rings (the best pinball ever)
Pirates of the Caribbean

I don't plan on getting any more because frankly I'm out of room!

Steephen -
You're not going to have any posts approved until you get rid of your signature block.  I don't like it.

I never wanted signature blocks to begin with.  Guess it's a "feature" the host added.

UPDATE: I figured out how to disable the signature blocks.

No arcade video games or pinball, but I do have a real Japanese pachinko machine.  It doesn't have a licensed theme, but I think it's called "Traveling Man" (that's what a sticker on the wooden frame says, anyway.)  Red and yellow plastic, with a decent sized video screen in the center that cycles through various scenes and where the slot machine-ish bonus rounds play out.  Flashing lights, lots of noise...I can only imagine what a room full of these things must sound like.

I was this ---->  <---- close to buying a Mortal Kombat machine that was in EXCELLENT condition off Craigslist for $400. But I live on the top floor of my apartment building and have no way to get it up the stairs! And even if I did, I have very little room for it

Maybe in the future I will find another one and go pick it up with a U-Haul or somethin

I'd like to eventually own MK, MKII, MK3, and UMK3 cabs someday.... that would be cool

I've always wanted a Neo Geo MVS. They seem hard to find in the USA. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough.

Not yet.

I was looking at a Klax machine on Craigslist, but failed to shoot.

A Neo Geo would be awesome

Does anyone own one of the modern machines with collections of early arcade games on them?  They seem quite pricey to me, but then its one machine with lots of games, you can switch out games, and its all new equipment.

I have an original Big Event Golf arcade machine.  Still a great time even today.
