This was the launch game I was probably least excited about for my PS4. I love pirates and all, but prefer to play those games in the summer.
But this is a pretty amazing game. The opening stage is a ship battle, and I absolutely love the streamlined, arcade-style controls. The cut-scenes are well done, the scenery is gorgeous, and the controls are very tight. So far so good.

Haven't been impressed by the AC series so far and this one dosen't look any better then the previous entries, so i'm going to pass on it.

I been hearing really good things about this game. The general
consensus is that its a return-to-form after Revelations and AC3.
They took the one thing that people liked about AC3 (the sailing)
and expanded it into its own game - a nice example of a company
listening to its fans. They've also streamlined the game; AC3 took
close to 10 hours of tutorials to get started, from what I've heard,
and when the fans freaked out Ubisoft decided to restructure AC4.

My least favorite kind of game. What Dark Rage said.
Hey, take a year off - they will have the EXACT SAME GAME next year!

That's good to hear, that's the game I'll be getting when the system comes out in a couple of weeks in Europe.

I'm losing my enthusiasm for this game. The controls are a mess (a lot of button combinations to remember and no manual) and some of the missions can be a real chore.

Not surprising, the AC series for me definitely dosen't play as well as it looks, so it's no shock that the fourth one is no different.

How many AC games have your played? I could not disagree with you more. AC 2 is amazing as is brotherhood. Black flag is great too, not sure what the critic is talking about.

I'm enjoying it so far, I suppose having played through the other games help, since controls aren't so different.
