WW2 wargame for Genesis

Postby pavo65031 » December 10th, 2013, 7:06 pm

When I was stationed in Germany in the 90's my roomie and I had a Genesis. He used to play a hex turn based wargame that covered the German invasion of the USSR during WW2. It featured the battles of Stalingrad and Kursk in particular. It was NOT a euro only release, our console was NTSC for sure as I brought it over from stateside. The battles were huge and I never got into the game that much but I've recently been looking for a simpler wargame to play. Can anyone help me out?

Operation Europe comes to mind.

I was stationed I. Germany too in the early nineties. Karlsruhe to be exact. Funny the game I remember playing most at that time was Sim City for the SNES. Also Crusade in Europe for the C-64.

Operation Europe certainly fits the bill, though a bunch of games along the same lines were never localized (i.e. were only released in Japan), like Advanced Daisenryaku.
