In the wake of this week's ET hysteria, I've reviewed ET Final and updated the original review as well. What do you think?

Good fun reviews. At the time I would probably have given it a C plus. I still have a soft spot for it.

Ah, that's too bad it wasn't much of an improvement. I do note they added one game variation where there's just the scientist chasing you around (without the FBI guy) which wasn't present in the original game.

Did this game deserve a "Mature" rating considering all those FBI agents trying to "steal your junk"?

Thanks for reviewing the fixed ET Dave! It's too bad that it doesn't sound like much of an improvement. The web site is a fun read and made it sound like it is the ET that we all wanted from our youth. So I had high hopes. Oh well. Thanks again!
Somebody needs convince Howard Scott Warshaw to jump in and fix it. Now that I write this, I wonder if he's ever been asked? Hummmm.

Actually the fixed version IMO is an improvement, but it cannot address the major flaws in the game's concept.
I would have given it a C-.

Nice reviews. It's refreshing to see a critic willing to point out that (although awful) E.T. is not an entirely worthless game; it has some redeeming qualities. With other critics, it's almost as if they feel like they will lose all credibility if they don't completely bash the game and call it the worst game ever. (...That being said, I agree with the D and can't see it being worth any higher.) Also, thanks for reviewing the "fixed" version. I had never heard about it before; always learning something new here.

This was really cool. I had no idea someone actually fixed the bugs with the original game. Doesn't sound like it was worth their time but still an interesting read.

I can relate to the denial part. It can't really be as bad as I think it is; can it?
