Good reviews. Glad to see the Wii U section getting more reviews. Mario Kart 8 is a lot of fun. Haven't played Wind Waker yet.

Is it me or did the setup for the MK8 review just come off as alienating? It sounds like a must-have if you own a Wii U but not something you'd get a Wii U for. It being shinier with hang-gliding (?) doesn't sound like a "must get Wii U" game.

Enjoyed both reviews. I would recommend briefly explaining that the ability to only hold one item distinguishes the game from previous mario karts and balances the game away from items, if only slightly.

The Critic has the rare opinion that the battle mode in MK8 is better than previous ones with dedicated arena.
I have MK8, but I haven't played it yet, so I can't judge.

I only played it briefly, but I enjoyed it. I never spend much time on it on any MK, though.
