2000s should be separate from 2010s

Good afternoon Critic and VGC fans! 

A new decade is reaching it maturity, one which has brought a new console generation that is, in many ways, distinct from the previous one. Increasingly interconnected and online-enabled experiences permeate, for better or worse, the entire entertainment industry, and gaming is no exception. Shouldn't consoles from the 2000s (i.e., PS2, PS3, Xbox 360) be separated from those born in the 2010s? Thus, the bar at the top of the page would read "1970s... 1980s... 1990s... 2000s... 2010s...".

Yeah, we've suggested this to him a couple of times.  I think he didn't have room for it.

This has been brought up before and I totally agree with you. The 2000's are also getting quite filled up. I think the main reason the VGC hasn't done this yet is that he said he would rather use the space on the bar for other things (I believe it's currently being used for the search option).

Oops! Sorry for bringing up a topic that's already been covered. Yeah, I can see the bar at the top getting cluttered pretty quickly. The 2020s aren't that far away, afterall!

Perhaps eventually they should be collapsed into "pre-2000" and "post-2000," positioning the Dreamcast as the pivotal point in gaming history .

Yeah I get this request all the time, but if you look at the front page (with search bar) there really isn't much space.

Considering there probably won't be another console released this decade, I don't think there's a pressing need to rearrange things at this time.

What you can do, to meet things at half-way... you can replace the "'s" in (2000's) and put a "+" like this, (2000+) indicating 2000 and beyond!
