FIFA - thank you America

Postby Sut » June 2nd, 2015, 4:02 pm

If you've got any interest in the world game then you will have heard Sepp Blatter has finally resigned from FIFA.

This organisation has been corrupt for years and despite years of journalists expose' nothing has ever changed.

It is slightly embarrassing that the rest of the world has never been able to penetrate this self serving governing body until the FBI came along.

Some people said football didn't need America well perhaps this proves we did. The U.S. might not have had a big impact in world football on the pitch (yet) but wow has it done the world a favour with the corruption and bribery case. Action was needed and America provided it.

America - Thank You!

America could do this because a) we dont care about the fallout about 'soccer' b) we were probably pissed we did not have any more clout than the US Virgin Islands in voting and c) the US Justice Dept and the IRS need some good press.

The whole thing is like some Mission Impossible episode (the good tv show, not the modern Cruise vehicles)

Also, credit to Andrew Jennings of the UK. Next up, the IOC...
