Luved it Critic. I skipped over several I had read for the umpteenth time, but I have a new list now to get if they are affordable. Looking forward to part 2.

Can't wait to see part 2, and the mayhem that ensues as commentors debate the top spots. I really enjoyed the combination of the brief description and the existing review. Excellent work!

Interesting that a lot of sixth gen + games are in the list, which surprised me.
I'm just hoping the top half ain't just full of the usual American Nintendo fan franchise favourites
Only game I would have put higher is MGS if I was ever only able to play one game franchise it would be MGS.

Nice. It's tough to comment without seeing Part II, but so far so good. I like that you didn't stick to the "usual suspects", but instead added less popular and lesser known games (like Shark! Shark! and Excite Truck), which no other list in the world would have. I say that as a good thing.
I like that Virtua Tennis and Hot Shots Golf made the list too, because they are very deserving but sports games are overlooked too often.
Side note, the inclusion of Silent Hill reminded me of how much the appreciation of that game has skyrocketed over the years. When it was released, it was considered a second-rate Resident Evil clone and it received above-average reviews but nothing special. It seems as if it only gained "classic" status years later, probably even after the PS1 was dead. A rare feat.
If I were to critique anything so far, I'd agree with Sut about Metal Gear Solid being ranked too low. I can live with it being #36, though, because I get the sense that this is a personal list with subjectivity playing a factor, rather than a purely objective list--and I know that you have a love-hate relationship with the MGS series because of the excessive cut-scenes. If purely objective, though, I think MGS would have to be the best PS1 game (Final Fantasy VII being the only rival)--ranking ahead of Silent Hill and whatever follows in the top 25.
My prediction for what you'll put #1: SMB3 and LttP would be obvious options, but I'm gonna go a little unorthodox here and guess a two syllable game, first syllable starts with W and second with L.

Nice! I'm glad that you finally got around to this. I was surprised that Panzer Dragoon Saga and Chrono Trigger showed up on your list. I know you don't review RPGs too often but do you actually have a decent collection of them?

Yeah I do have a fair collection of RPGs - mostly the main ones like the Final Fantasy series.

Glad this is being so well received.
You guys shouldn't have to wait long for the other half of the list - probably next weekend.

I enjoyed it too. I've become especially enamored with the Saturn.
