What systems do you have hooked up and ready to go?

Postby Herschie » July 12th, 2016, 6:55 pm

I currently have 13 systems hooked up; Wii U, PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360, Dreamcast, PS4, N64, NES, Genesis, SNES, Gamecube, Atari 2600. Those are all in one room, and I have the PS3 out in the living room so that my wife can watch Netflix.

I wonder if keeping all those hooked up is a fire hazard? Not like I have them all going at once.

Well I've trimmed my collection down a little recently and generally gone for one system per generation and the home computers of my youth.

Downstairs I have my PS4, PS3 and PS2 (via component cable - looks gorgeous) on the HDTV.

In my Gamesloft. I have my Atari ST and Spectrum hooked up to one CRT TV. And the other CRT is my Sega station:
Mark 3 (for SG-1000), Master System, Multi-Mega with 32x, Saturn and Dreamcast all hooked up and ready to go.

My PC-50x system and Wii are boxed up not in use.

I only have 3 hooked up at a time. Right now, that's the Wii U, PS3 and NES. My other consoles that are not hooked up are put away.

I've only got the Wii hooked up to the big TV, and the Dreamcast hooked up to the CRT. The PS3 isn't actually hooked up, but it is right next to the Wii. I ran out of HDMI ports but it is ready to go in about 6 seconds.

Most of my systems kind of sit. But I have multiple displays to use them on. I have an old PVM I inherited from a job I had in the 90's. It's only 20 inches, but the seating in my game room compensates, as the seats are closer to this one. The systems I have hooked up to my PVM are my Genesis, my SNES, and my RGB modified NES. It has a KILLER picture. On my older CRT, I have my Atari 2600 and Intellivision hooked up. On my 480p CRT, I have my Xbox, and my PS2. It's among the best TV's I've owned. On my flatscreen, I've got the Wii U all hooked up and ready. The other 20 or so consoles that aren't handhelds just sit until I want to play them.

I have a lot of consoles hooked up and ready to go although the power adapter remains off until I use the older consoles. Consoles I have hooked up:

NES model 2

PC Engine Duo RX
Turbografx 16 + CD add on
Sega Genesis + CD
SNES
N64
NGC w/ GB player
Wii
Wii U
PS2
NGC
Xbox
Xbox 360
PS3
PS4

kind of a lot... Most are powered off minus the ones I have on my HD tv.

Hooked and ready to go? On an actual shelf and connected to a display?

Xbox 360, PS3, Nintendo Wii, PS2.

All other 8-bit, 16-bit, N64, GameCube, PS1 stuff is playable to me via emulator on my 24 inch HD PC display.

Nah, I used to own a 2600 and a Colecovision but I ended up selling them off. I really didn't enjoy playing them very much.. The only other console I own is the Atari XEGS and handhelds.
