This game is a pleasant surprise if you're willing to trade realism for fun.

Nice! I'm glad games like this are still being made (they seem so few and far between these days) even if they're only budget titles. I'd take this over the serious sports games any day.

my dad and my uncle used to have epic battles in RBI baseball 2 on the NES. I played that game the other night, and it is really easy to get into, fast paced for a baseball game, and easy controls. Love the music that plays during the game.

I would say yes, except there's no music and it's more difficult.

It's a shame that this was a download that turned into a physical release. If it had been initially intended to be a physical release it might've actually had content that we should be able to expect in 2016. Things like different batting animations, variety of different looking players, stat tracking, career mode and create a player. These options were all included in some form or another in 8-bit NES games from 1989. Now here we are in 2016 playing baseball games that have less content then NES games. Sorry, but not sorry for being a negative Nancy, but that just sucks.
