Have you guys heard of this system?

It looks fantastic. I would love to review it.

Holy Simon Belmont, for $500 it better deliver the absolute Cadillac of NES experiences, and even then, that's too much.

That is an incredibly high price tag of $500 and up, the 'up' depending on color, cables, etc. Considering the selling point is using two of the original chips, couldn't they salvage those from original NES machines for cheap? Why is this so much? It cannot even play Famicom carts without an adapter, so add in $20 or so for one of those.

It would be nice to have a real comparison with how well the android can software emulate on a Retron 5 with HDMI output, versus reputable and cheap hardware emulation on something like the Retron 3 with just AV out, versus a modded NES with AV out, versus this very top end hardware 'recreation' with RGB out. This is truly the high end call girl of the retro market.

I don't think money is a problem for Dave. For most of the rest of us yeah

The NES/SNES version I bought was $40, and aside from being made from cheap material, works great. The controllers were a couple of ounces lighter than the real deal, but also worked great.

This definitely looks really nice, although for that price it best be. Maybe if I strike it rich one day I'll pick this up but I think I'd rather buy some rarer games than buy this.

I feel like the only reason this is five hundred dollars is purely Meme-Status (IE Hip Youth Credentials). If the NES's popularity with collectors declined, it'd probably run for only two hundred dollars...

Jeremy parish did a very thorough review of it.

I am actually getting my nes modded for rgb and that is $200. Just waiting to get it back. Much cheaper than the nt, and the video quality is pretty close to the nt, if not the same

It's basically what you would pay for a deluxe bundle today.

For the price, this thing is a joke if you ask me. I feel bad for the people that bought who could have got a RetroUSB AVS for $185 which does the exact same thing as the Analog NT.
