Good and bad. I just don't have time for RPGs anymore! It's so tough to get to. This has been my main game for like a year now and I'm only 25 hours in! And then I looked at the Table of Contents on a Gamefaqs walkthrough and realized that my current place in the game is only like 30% through!!
100% my situation. I love JRPGs. The colours, art style, music, cliche stories, magic systems, etc. I recently bought some on the Wii VC, I have a bunch from the Wii U VC, and have about 4 or 5 picked up on the PSTV (including FF8). For all that I have been able to get, maybe, 2 hours into any of them. And I still have not finished Xenoblade Chronicles on Wii, or made any kind of decent start on "The Last Story." I WANT to play this type of game, but the time and energy commitment is too much for me any more. I just cannot play a long, story-based game anymore. Something always comes up to make me skip 4 or 5 nights in a row and then I always forget what I was doing.
I suppose Skylanders is a kind of RPG, and my son is making me spend hours and hours playing that, so that's something I suppose.
To bring this back to the topic at hand, this is precisely why I cannot play most stealth games, and especially Metal Gear. Too long and too complex for me to ever have a chance to finish now. I may have been able to get into them if I'd discovered them when I was younger, but now they are impossible for me to ever play.
