These LED games don't get the legacy they merit. The gameplay, controls, and sound are simple but fun. Bright LEDs can be seen in daylight to darkness. Coleco made some good ones, like handheld electronic quarterback seen here.
The Coleco Head to Head line innovated 2 person play on a handheld, which was pretty far ahead of Nintendo, and no cable required.
i reviewed a generic basketball one here http://videogamecritic.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=38790&t=13660

Up high!
The 2 player baseball games were pretty neat. The Entex one has the pitching controls on the top, batting on the bottom. We would put the game on the floor, and play with the game between us. This Coleco one the players sit side by side.
Tiger Electronics also made "Talking Head to Head" games. The games look like little stadiums. Good times.

Try Ebay. I found one in a search for Coleco Handheld Baseball. Less than $20 with shipping.

There is only 1 handheld generation. Nay, only 1 handheld worthy of the title "Greatest Handheld in the History of the Universe and Megaverses if Those Exist":

No argument from me. This is the one that popularized them. The founder. The King. The One Handheld to Rule them All.
I am happy to find some other fans of these 9 volt wonders.

Handheld Generations
So what do you think is the best handheld ever?
I prefer the 2DS, since it's able to play all of my favorite DS/3DS games.

On Atariage you can get that game on a 2600 cart. I remember the programmer saying something about wondering what one could emulate or do the "HD version" of on 2600. So back in 198X, Atari could have put this out on cart as, like, Handheld Football: Game of the Year Edition.

I had a Bambino football game as a child, I'd bring it to school when I was in 2nd grade and all of the other kids would go nuts over it.
