Help me out - the game looks like Sonic but the cartridge looks like Batman and Robin ?

I keep thinking someone is going to come around the corner and trip on the wires. Is that Burgertime?

Does Alvin and the Chipmunks live here? This looks like a really uncomfortable way to play your Intellivision.

Start getting you in the holiday spirit.

Can't see what they are playing, but its on an Atari VCS. I also don't know what that chair thing is either, but I think that is what people used to call "Encyclopedias" under the television. When was the last time you used a physical encyclopedia.

Alright, an Intellivision Christmas (where the games were apparently in a shirt box - psych!) with He-Man! Power the Power of Greyskull! Skeletor deserves to be more than a tiny blue sprite. Check out this boy's velour shirt! I think that's the speaker in the corner of a cabinet TV in the photo.

For those of you who got an NES for Christmas --- enjoy.

Can you identify the box near the NES?

A.L.F. and a NES. Cool.

Here is a family getting a Texas Instruments TI-99/4a for Christmas, 1982. Notice the $50 off rebate sticker on the box. TI was losing a price war to Commodore's VIC-20 at the time in the US. In 1983, TI suffered massive losses and discontinued the TI99/4a. The TI99/4a is not a bad computer relative to the competition, with pitchman Bill Cosby.

When we look at Nintendo and wonder why the WiiU is still so expensive, we can also remember the fate of the TI99/4a and what it did to Texas Instruments.

And another one

For Fun, here are some computers for Christmas!

Here is an Apple IIc. This actually came *after* the Apple IIe, so MS is not alone in bizarre naming conventions. The 'c' is for compact - this is actually a portable Apple II unit. Maybe 1984? Monochrome monitor.

Booting up a Commodore C64 for Christmas! 38911 BASIC BYTES FREE READY.

An Atari 600XL. Might make this Christmas 83? This has 16k of RAM, but could be expanded. Only RF output, I think.

And a few more - the third of three 'unboxing at Christmas' sets.

A portable Commodore 64 unit, called an SX-64. That was pretty expensive, more than twice what buying a C64 and floppy drive would cost. There was no battery in it, but it was still pretty heavy. I've seen these at conventions - its a color monitor.

Finally for our friends from the UK - can we figure out the year? 83 maybe?

The lads with their C64 don't seem happy, probably wanted a Speccy

Yeah I'd go 1983 for the Speccy 48k.

That looks suspiciously like my house in Christmas of '85. My sister got one just like it as well. Where'd you get that picture??
