Must Have PS4 Games?

Postby DaHeckIzDat » March 1st, 2017, 8:39 am

My tax refund just came in, and I'm going to use it to finally get a PS4. The first game I'm going to get is Final Fantasy XV, because that's been my most anticipated game ever since it was called Versus XIII. I also want to get Bloodborne, and either The Witcher 3 or Overwatch. I figure those will be good to start with, but what are some of the other must-have PS4 games?

I've enjoyed the PS4 so far. It is a beefed up PS3 game wise but is that a bad thing ?

Anyway my favourite games thus far:

Uncharted 4: Just started this, believe the hype great game.

MGS5 Phantom Pain: Best game I've played in many a year and although it's multi-format. PS4 is the definitive console version.

Kill Zone Shadow Fall: Critic didn't reckon much to it, but I had a real good time with it. The drone helped mixed it up nicely and the levels are varied with some real eye candy. If your burned out on FPS games give it a miss but otherwise it's dirt cheap - give it a go.

Transformers Devastation: I loved G1 Transformers as a kid and this is like playing the cartoon good times.

My Wanted List:
Last Guardian
Horizon Zero Dawn
Sonic Mania
Yakuza 0

Nioh is a really fun game, especially if you like the Souls series (the game has its own flavor, but the influence is there). Until Dawn is a really cool experience that is unlike anything else, especially if you like old slasher flicks (hold off until the Fall). Bloodborne was AWESOME (Dave was wrong), as was Dark Souls 3. I'm also hearing great things about Horizon Zero Dawn.

You're jumping on board at the perfect time! This generation is in full swing and we're starting to really see some astounding games! Enjoy the system!

I know, and that's the problem! So many awesome games! Which ones do I have to have right now? Which ones can I wait until the price drops? Yesterday I went with FFXV and Bloodborne, since those were the only two the store I went to had. I'm planning on hitting some of the used game shops later this week so see if I can find anything else good. I'm probably going to get Overwatch. Since the other two games are super serious RPGs, a fast paced online shooter will probably be a nice change of pace.

Pinball Arcade. It's my favorite game on my PS4! And try to find a physical copy because it comes with every table from Season 1, whereas the *free* downloadable version only comes with one.

The Crew. This game seems to get a bit of flak for its controls, but once you get used to them it isn't half bad.
