The Atari 2700

The story seems a bit odd - but it goes that someone bought a prototype Atari 2700 for rags and sold it for riches, even though there were no controllers and the story just says it powers on but not hooked up to a TV to test it Yeah, right - someone has a CRT or eve a VCR around to test it.

I had to google the 2700. Here is some info

Basically, its the 2600 but with combo digital joystick/paddle controller, and it was wireless using RF, not infrared. IR kinda sucks in that you have to face the sensor, but RF kinda sucks in that it cohld mess with other units 1000 feet away!

While it sounds cool, really, by 1981 I think Atari was right in moving on from the 2600 to the 5200 at this time.
