This review ran a bit long but I think it's pretty good. Let me know what you think.

Question critic, are you planing to update the Sega CD/Sega 32X/3DO versions reviews to see how they stack up?

Only a B+? Because it doesn't change enough from the original game? I think you're looking the mother of all gift horses in the mouth.

Interesting review but afterwards I checked out the price 80 quid. Someone wants £160. I mean you can buy a mega cd and a mega drive and the game for that price. Then have the original in all it low res glory.

Keep in mind this is probably the highest rating the remake has ever gotten.

Yeah, but it's coming from a huge Night Trap fanboy who gave the 3DO version an A- (for being better than the Sega CD version in ways that are dwarfed by the improvements on the PS4). It's just weird to see the Critic react so coolly to inarguably the best presentation this game he loves has ever had or will ever have.

I'm assuming the slightly lower grade (in comparison to other versions of Night Trap) comes from the fact that he grades each game against the other games on the system. So on the 3DO "Night Trap" is clearly one of the top tier in the system's fairly scant library. However, with the PS4's library full of heavy hitters the game falls just a touch lower. At least that is how I interpreted the grade difference.

I was happy when I saw this review. I hoped you had managed to snag a copy. I emailed you the back to try to give you a heads up that it was coming. As far as versions available, would you consider it the definitive version or do you enjoy it more on some of the older systems?

Kevin - thank you so much for giving me a heads up or I probably would have never been able to obtain a copy.
I would have to say this is certainly the definitive version, especially with the included documentaries, which are fascinating.

If the grade is relative to other PS4 games then it's amazing that an early 90s FMV title even gets such a high grade compared to a top tier modern console's library. FMV is one of those genres that first comes to mind when you think of games that have not aged well.
