Banner Challenge!

Postby VideoGameCritic » January 17th, 2007, 5:23 pm

Mark Jewell has bestowed upon us another excellent banner, this one containing a number of obscure video games.  (If you don't see it, keep refreshing your page).  It's the banner with the spaceship on the left, and underwater scene on the right.  Can you name them all?  Winner gets bragging rights.  I don't even know them all, so Mark will have to confirm when someone gets them right.

I think the space ship is from "scramble" but that's all I got! Nice banner but they are tough...no idea!

As a hint (sort of), all of the games shown HAVE been reviewed by the VGC.

Okay, this has been the closest so far.  4 out of 5, all correct except numero uno.

I can see why you'd say Scramble, horizontal scroller in a cave-type place.  But this little number was a home console exclusive, never in an arcade.  It only appeared on one console, and the company that made it didn't make it through the big videogame shake-up of '83-'84.

We have a winner!  Yes, the left-most image is from Laser Gates for the Atari 2600.  Not the greatest game in the world, but back in the day I'd sit on the living room floor, playing it until my foot fell asleep.  Ah, good times.
