Heh heh, if ever there was a definitive Nintendo fan...The only thing missing on this list is the Virtual Boy! Though my checkbook is clearly biased my opinions on systems and games certainly aren't, I've begun planning the next phases of my gaming path and it includes many of the systems I skipped over because all of these systems were given to me as gifts at different points in my life. Yes, I am spoiled in that regard.

Hopefully, my "legacy" will continue in this direction.

I'v been a game Junkie since I could walk.  I was born in 1977 same year as 2600.

Intellivision -> 2600 -> colecovision/adam computer -> NES -> Genesis -> SNES -> gamegear -> gameboy -> segacd -> Jaguar -> Virtua Boy -> PS1 -> Dreamcast -> XBOX -> Gamecube ->  PC.

I tried to buy a PS2 on launch day.  Waited 4 hours and left store empty handed.  I was so mad I swore to myself I would never buy a PS2... Never did.

Eh.  I got it for free w/8 free games, 2 controllers, a rumble pack and a memory card.  So even if it all sucks, I'm cool with it.  The price was right.

I agree. When I first got the N64 and PSX I considered the PSX better, because I had about 50 PSX games that I liked compared to 20 N64 games, and I have been of that opinion for quite some time.

Recently, however, I played some of the games that I enjoyed on both systems and found that most of the 64 games I thought were great held up, while practically none of my favorite PSX games were still good. For example, Jet Moto 3, one of my favorite games for the PSX when I had it, is awful. After the Critic's review I went out and got a copy, and much to my dismay, I realized he was absolutely correct. This same thing held true for several other racers and platformers on the PSX. On the other hand, Mario Kart 64, Wave Race 64, and Diddy Kong Racing 64 held up great, as well as basically any 1st party 64 game. There are certainly some gems in the PSX library, but I think the N64 has more great games, despite the fact that it has quite a few less games in its library.
