Good to see some old school reviews about uncommon games. Cool stuff

I've always wondered about Double Dungeons. You're description of the game sounds the same as the dungeon mode in the original Phantasy Star for SMS. All the dungeons are the same, and no maps, you have to make your own.

...enjoyed your reviews as usual but you made one error saying you played Ordyne on Namco Musum Volume two...I have all those volumes (minus the elusive volume five!), 1-4 and ORDYNE is on Number four:

To refresh your memory each selection included (among others)

Vol. 1: Pac-Man, Galaga, TOY-POP, etc...

Vol. 2 (also rare) XEVIOUS, Mappy, Super Pac-Man, etc..

Vol. 3 (most common) MS. Pac-Man, Dig-Dug, Galaxian, etc..

Vol. 4 is the one you want- ORDYNE, Assault, Pac-land etc...
(these were almost all unknown or off-beat games!)

I'm still looking for vol.5 if anyone knows where I can find one. It has the games PAC-MANIA, VALKYRIE, DRAGON SPRIRIT, etc..!

Thanks for catching that.  It's fixed.

Pretty much all Dungeon Crawlers play exactly the same. Some have maps, some have multiple playable characters, but they're all extremely similiar.

Have you guys noticed that the Zelda clones out there are mostly really good? Golden Axe Warrior, Neutopia 1 and 2, Crusader Of Centy, etc. Good stuff.

Ah, Neutopia. Derivative, yes, but if someone's going to rip off a game, they may as well rip off a classic.  And for what it's worth, in my humble opinion, Neutopia mops the floor with Majora's Mask.
