I dusted off one of my old Game Players strategy tapes from wayyy back(remember those?) and popped it into my trusty vcr. After spending a bit of time in nostalgia-ville, I was alarmed to see the price of a "dream subscription" to Game Player's Monthly. $39.95!!!! Were magazine subscriptions really that expensive back then?! I can't remember because I always bought mine month-to-month, with the only exception being Nintendo Power which I got as part of my 1991 Christmas.
Wow, suddenly $19.95 seems like one heckuva steal!
