Is it worth it to pick this one up if you already have the ps2 genesis collection?
Up to you, I guess. There's about 15 games or so here that weren't on that collection, some of which you may already have anyway.

There's a list of included games at Wikipedia, your best bet is to go through that, see how many of the games you don't already have, and decide whether your the price is worth it for that handful.

Just to make sure, VGC... you know Felix Pie's name is pronounced "pee-ay," right?

Happy to hear you enjoyed the latest Sega Genesis Collection and its emulation (which to me, is better than the PS2 game, which was quite good to begin with), but please tell me you're not going to let Sega off the hook on how they butchered the audio in the included version of Space Harrier.

Not only is it strange, considering how the other games were done pretty much perfectly, but it's also unacceptable, considering how many great ports Sega's done of the game recently (particularly in the Shenmue games, with Shenmue 2's being dead on).

I also found it interesting that you called Decap Attack a forgotten gem.  Seeing as you weren't a huge fan the first time around, does this mean that a re-review of the original (or other originals on this collection, for that matter) is being planned?

SEGA was out of it's mind not putting this on Wii! Good collection though, It's good to see Vectorman and Altered Beast every now and then.

Since Space Harrier is a bonus game, I'm willing to let Sega off the hook for that.  And yes, I really should re-review Decap Attack, because the game was better than I remembered.

I am aware of that, but you can bet I will be pronouncing it as "pie" whenever I get the opportunity.  It's great fun to say.  Felix Pie!  Try it!

Hey, that is fun!

By the way, enjoy Ryan Freel!  And thanks for Ramon Hernandez.
Just like Street Fighter IV you picked up Sonic Ultimage Genesis Collection for the wrong system.

While the PS3's D-Pad certainly isn't anything special, it is much better for 2D games and fighters.

Whoa! A The Cure fan on VGC. Very cool. I agree that the D-pad on the 360 really makes it a hassle to play games that were designed to be used with a d-pad. However for SF4 I found myself wanting to use the stick as it seemed to be easier to accomplish most moves even if there was a great D-pad (or maybe the 360 D-pad is so bad that it has warped my thinking.)

The solution to the 360's d-pad problem is easy, buy a FightPad from MadCatz that they released for SF4.

With a little help from my cousins last week, we were able to get a platinum trophy, my first! some really easy ones, like get a chaos emerald in the first sonic game, and some hard ones, like beat Dr. Robotnik's mean bean machine.

Critic - In the last line of your review you hinted that you hoped for another genesis collection, what other games would be on there? The sega smashpack for dreamcast had a shinobi game, Sega Swirl, virtua cop, and wrestle war, while the ps2 collection had Virtua Fighter 2 and Shadow Dancer.
