Worst Video Game Soundtracks

I gotta be honest, GTA had the worst soundtrack out of any open-world game I've played.

I detest licensed soundtracks in videogames. The only one that springs to mind that I enjoyed and didn't mute in the options screen has been Mafia II's magnificent selection of music.

Thankfully, custom soundtrack options oftentimes allow me to rectify that situation or at least complement the default selection of music.

Strongly disagree, I love licensed soundtracks in video games(though I was a bit dissapointed by the selection in Watch Dogs).

I think the GTA games generally are hit and miss. GTA III had original music, and most of it was lame. Vice City was excellent, easily making me relive my childhood. San Andreas? I only care for Bounce FM really, though K-DST was pretty good too. GTA IV? Please, that game has a damn good soundtrack! 5? Lame as hell. When it comes to Watch_Dogs, who cares? It's modern radio at it's finest. If you don't like it, turn it off! I don't, but I don't care, I keep it off.

I think V's soundtrack was better then IV's, I liked most of the San Andreas stuff(except for K-Rose, not a country fan in the least), I liked III's original music.

Watch Dogs had a few good artists(Alice Cooper, Nas, Ministry, 2 Chainz, Wu Tang Clan), but most of the songs just faded into the background for me and I found myself skipping quite a bit.

Other sandbox games with good soundtracks are the Saints Row series, Driver: Parallel Lines and Scarface: The World Is Yours.

MVP Baseball 2005 had a HORRIBLE soundtrack. And I got tired of that stupid "Radioactive" song in MLB 13: The Show.

[QUOTE=Cataclysm]New Super Mario Brothers had awful music that made the game feel unmemorable unlike SMB 1, 2, 3, etc.

This. And I also hate the music to double dash. It's ear grating. Mario games used to have the best music; now some of it is pretty awful. I do like the music in galaxy thiugh
