Re: 2019/8/17: Xbox: Outrun 2, Outrun 2006: Coast to Coast

Is the Xbox version considerably better than the PS2 version? After seeing ASalvaro's comment on the price I had to look on Ebay as well... and I see the PS2 version can be had for $35ish.

Re: The New Bond?

I wouldn't say the series is on life support considering the last two broke the bank at the box office. This is very true. Spectre had a domestic box office of just over $200 million, and another nearly $680 million acros the globe ($879+ million worldwide). This was actually seen as a disappointme...

Re: The New Bond?

From my perspective, the half-brother thing is off limits for Bond simply because Austin Powers already did it as a joke. A series that exists purely to parody Bond, and Bond copies it? Too lazy for my taste. But like I said in the 2600 Pac man thread, expectations play a huge role in enjoying somet...

Re: Pinterest?

Do you need a smart phone? Because I don't own one of those... I'm so proud to know you... as much as I can from simply frequenting your website. I have a buddy (40 years old, married, 3 kids) who did not have a cell phone at all until about 2 months ago. Somehow a little bit of him died when he go...

Re: What-if scenario for Atari 2600 Pac-Man

This topic fascinates me, because I have to go to another medium to relate to it. I'm 40, and didn't spend more than 20 hours total in an arcade growing up. The only Pac Man I knew was the 2600 version, and to me it was a blast. It wasn't until I started *really* collecting video games about 7 or 8 ...

Re: The New Bond?

Craig's departure will be tough. I think Casino Royale and Skyfall are two all-time great Bond movies. Quantum of Solace is underrated, in my opinion. Spectre is a big mess... the whole Austin Powers / Dr. Evil half-brothers thing is absurd and unnecessary. The Bond universe has never had continuity...

Re: What happened to couch gaming?

I currently have one per year. Guys weekend. Usually involves friends from at least 3 states, lasts at least 3 nights, and involves a lot of video games, movies (Bond movies, specifically), food and booze.

We're working on making it bi-annual, but we've got to get the buy-in from our wives first!

Re: The New Bond?

As a huge Bond fan, I'm struggling with this myself. As I understand it, Bond (Craig) will start the movie retired, and Lashana Lynch will be a new agent that has been issued the 007 number. Depending how they play it, that could be cool if Bond is brought out of retirement and has to save the day. ...

Re: Favorite Movie Series?

I'm totally a Bond guy. Every time I rank the Bonds (actors or films) it's a little different. Totally depends on my mood. For the films, I probably have a pretty consistent top 5 and bottom 5, but the middle floats. I won't go on and on, but I could.

Re: 2019/7/19: Atari XEGS: Choplifter, Leader Board Dual Pack

I have never played games on the early Atari computers or the XEGS, nor have I ever watched anyone else. Yet every time you review these games, I can feel myself being drawn closer and closer to acquiring an XEGS. They remind me of the computer games we were occasionally allowed to play at school on...
