Re: 2020/5/21: Super Nintendo: Secret of Mana, Lethal Enforcers

It's a Zelda-Final Fantasy hybrid. You attack enemies on the field like Zelda but the stamina meter is like an active-battle timer - you don't do full damage until it's at 100%. It also has the usual RPG stats (strength, evade, hit%, etc.) to determine damage. And magic spells can't be evaded. It co...

Re: Mega Man 11 (PS4)

You're in for a treat if you've only played Megaman on DOS. Anything from the original series is good.

Re: Saturn 25th Anniversary

Sony snatched up the casual gamers while Nintendo and Sega were stuck with die-hard fans. And even though PS1 wasn't that amazing until later in '96, it made a much better first impression than Jaguar and 3DO with Twisted Metal and Tekken.

Re: Bad Console Design Page Revised

I think design flaws are supposed to make the console more inconvenient or unpleasant to use. N64 carts might've been a bad business decision (since it adversely affected the content we got to play on it) but there's nothing ridiculous like, say, removing the battery to change a game in the N-Gage.

Wonder how many Sega CD, 3DO, Saturn owners etc. were rockin' out to Stone Temple Pilots and Nirvana on their $400 machine.

Re: Sonic X-Treme

Chips and Bits ads often had games way out in the future - note the two "Ultra 64" games that never released.
