https://www.theverge.com/2019/3/30/18288193/sega-genesis-mega-drive-mini-retro-console-september-19-2019 So, after countless stabs at the Mini Console market, it looks like Sega may FINALLY get it right! M2 is handling the project; they have done such an amazing job with the Sega Ages and 3D Classic...

Re: Atari VCS in trouble!

This isn’t Atari. This is a small company that somehow owns the name. The true spirit of Atari has been gone for a very long time, and it isn’t coming back. VCS is the most pointless thing I’ve seen since the Gizmondo. It has no reason for being, and it is going to be wiped out immediately by the co...

Like any good Metroidvania, you'll need a specific power up to get past the black waterfalls. You'll get to that point. I'm honestly surprised that you're having a rough go of it.

Re: Hollow Knight - Can we convince VGC to download a game?

Dave, I urge you to stick with it! It didn’t do anything for me, at first, and then it sunk its claws into me and didn’t let up for the 27 hours I sunk into it! It’s my game of 2018!

Re: Games to Play When You're Sick?

My immediate go-to whenever I’m sick are compilations. I was actually sick during Christmas weekend, so I popped in Sega Genesis Classics for Switch. The reason why is because there is something comforting about having convenient variety; instead of getting up to change a game, I can just hold the “...

They’re probably referring to your totally wrong review of Bloodborne. Shocking indeed.

Re: 2018/12/9: Nintendo Switch: Super Mario Party

The score seems a bit low for a game you like.

Also, I thought the game sold about 2 million copies. I’d say that’s the opposite of releasing to little fanfare.

Re: New Smashing Pumpkins Record: Shiny and Oh So Bright

The only two songs that do anything for me are Marching On and Seek and You Shall Destroy. Two worthwhile songs on an eight track album makes for a pretty bad album. Honestly, he should have sat on the songs he recorded for Ogilala, which was excellent, and recorded them with the Pumpkins. Had he do...

Quick reviews of my Switch collection

I’ve been meaning to post reviews of my Switch collection for some time now, but I kept putting it off. Instead of writing a lengthy review of one game, I’ll review all of them with a sentence or two apiece. Enjoy: 1). Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Reminds me of Zelda 1. Absolute freedom, with...
