Re: Sega Genesis Mini

I don’t know if I would call the lineup spotty at all. Even as a huge fan of the SNES Classic, I think the Genesis Mini trumps it. The fact that it includes two Mickey games, Road Rash 2, and Mega Man: The Wily Wars is pretty impressive in itself! My only complaint with the lineup are the completely...

Re: What was your best goodwill video game find?

It wasn’t Goodwill, but I snagged a CIB copy of Earthbound—in very good condition, nonetheless—for $15 at Acme Comics in 2001! I sold it, eleven years later, for nearly $300!

Re: Google Stadia is the saviour of gaming.

I believe you already know the answer to this, Sonic. It just doesn't matter what all the countless talking heads on the Internet think. What matters is what you think, and more importantly, what you think for yourself. Be careful not to let someone else make up your mind for you, or as Bob Dylan w...

Re: Google Stadia is the saviour of gaming.

How do you know that it’s a troll post? If anything, the guy just seems genuinely excited for it. Dude, you genuinely seem upset/agitated that somebody out there may actually be excited for it, and it makes no sense. They’re video games. Take a deep breath and stop letting these non-issues get to you:

Re: What happened to western AAA games lately?

Hmm, I don’t see a problem. As you pointed out, PS4 has seen the likes of Spider-Man, Until Dawn, The Last of Us (and it’s pending sequel), GTA V (which is closing in on 100 million copies sold), Red Dead Redemption II, God of War, Crash trilogy, and so forth. Citing one company’s epic blunder (Fall...

Re: Looks like Google Stadia and Atari VCS is in trouble for smaller devs!

I recently contacted Microids (best known for the recent 2018 Flashback release) on Facebook for Google Stadia and Atari VCS support and they said "Hi, it's not planned sorry". This is already a red flag for both upcoming and unproven newcomer Google and returning after long hiatus Atari ...

Nope. Good riddance! I was sad when Babbages closed, but GameStop? Not at all! They did this to themselves.

Mario Maker 2 levels

I hope this is okay. I thought it’d be a good idea to create a hub for Mario Maker 2 levels. This is one that I spent a ton of time on, and I just uploaded it a few minutes ago. It’s called Mario Needs Money (The Heist) where you help Mario rob a few banks. Give it a spin and let me know what you th...

Re: Konami planing a TurboGrafx-16 Mini!

I was so excited when I saw Snatcher.....but when I saw that it was a Japanese import, I got bummed. Without being able to read a lick of Japanese, games of that ilk are basically worthless to me. Man, I was really hoping to finally get the chance to play Snatcher!

Re: Games that are perfect examples of great design?

A perfect example would be the original Super Mario Brothers! Before the end of the first level, you’re gradually taught nearly everything that the rest of the game will throw at you. You learn that mushrooms make you big, give you the ability to break blocks, and effectively give you an extra hit p...
