Re: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2

Wow I never even considered that – imagining using an N64 controller for THPS seems so weird to me. I guess if you've never known any different it must seem natural, as STrife said. Then again thinking about it, I always used the d-pad on a PS1 controller for THPS and I rarely – possibly never – us...

Re: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2

True.. I was thinking of the analog stick for some reason. I guess with the d-pad and shoulder buttons it’s about the same as the DC controller. So not too bad. With the analog stick and using the Z button though, I imagine it would be way harder to perform tricks.

Re: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2

Loved this series back in the day, and spent many many hours playing THPS 1 through 4. I think 2 and 3 were the peak of the series, and then I lost interest after playing 4. Like Guitar Hero, it was just one of those series that couldn’t go on forever.. it was destined to be huge and then run out of...

Re: Anybody excited for VR?

I have PS VR, owned it for about a year, and it is always hooked up to my PS4.. And I have about 10-15 games for it. I give that preface, because DESPITE THAT, I have only played it 5 times or less in that entire year! Why? Two main reasons. First, it feels like a hassle. In reality, PS VR doesn’t t...

Re: Reconsidering Neo Geo CD reviews

I support the way you currently do it. The load times make the fighting games almost unplayable, while the load times aren’t too bad for games from most other genres. I think your reviews accurately reflect that. I appreciated that your reviews gave me that information when I bought my Neo Geo CD ab...

Re: 2020/2/14: Genesis: WWF: Super Wrestlemania, Barbie: Super Model

I was pretty pumped to see both these review... yes, even Barbie. Actually, more so Barbie. Barbie first.. I actually owned that game on SNES growing up, so there's a little nostalgia in it for me. The SNES was my main system growing up for most of the 90s, and I didn't have many games, maybe 10-15....

Re: Console Future Values

Always tough to predict what consoles or games will see big increases in value. Best predictor is past trends. I don't expect the Jaguar CD to rise any faster than usual. In general, systems from the early to mid 90s have already had their biggest % gains in value.. prices will still rise, but more ...

Re: All the way through?

Just finished "Guacamelee!" I think it's available to download on all major systems, but I played the PS4 version. It's a light-hearted Metroidvania title, with a good sense of humor, where you play as a Mexican wrestler fighting through the world of the living and the dead to rescue your ...

Re: Console Design Blunders

Xbox - that massive first controller Xbox 360 - whatever caused the red rings of death Saturn - minor one maybe.. but I hate that it uses a CR2032 battery for saved games, which dies every year and erases your games PS3 - the complex processor architecture and $600 price tag that plagued it from cat...

P.S. Typo notes: You have two #41's and Crash Team Racing wasn't moved off.
