Re: VGC Tries Virtual Reality

If I could get a cheap setup (under $200) I would be tempted, but otherwise I'll remain on the sidelines for now. Btw, as luck would have it, the Oculus Go sells for $200, which is the only genuine VR system that you can get at that price right now. It has everything built right in, whereas the reg...

Re: VGC Tries Virtual Reality

A year or so ago, I got to try the HTC Vive for about 30 minutes at an arcade near my house. I played a few FPS style games, where you stand in one spot and shoot things. One was a survival horror zombie game, one was set in space, and one was a castle defense game with a bow and arrow (which was my...

Re: 2018/8/17: Turbografx-16: Moto Roader, Super Volleyball

New Turbografx reviews, nice. I've never played these, but looks like I haven't missed much. Your annoyance at Moto Roader is hilarious, great review. Super Volleyball looks a lot like Power Spike II for the Neo Geo, with the same 2D view, although it sounds like it plays much better. I've played Po...

Re: Street Fighter 30th Anniversary

I'm no Street Fighter fan, so my advice is more generic, but for fighting games I'd always choose the Playstation version over the Switch version. #1, the controller is probably the most important thing, and the PS4 controller would be way better, especially the d-pad and sticks. You have the X-Arca...

Re: Blu Ray Fail

Just to clarify... does this mean that your blu ray player would be useless now if you didn't have an internet connection available to download the update? And/or that it could be useless in 10 years when the PS3 servers are done and the system might not connect online anymore? I'd hope at a minimum...

Re: Microvision System Review

Excellent overview of both the system and the games. IMHO, this may merit permanent inclusion in the 'Portables' menu section (if Retro is good with that). The information / review of the system is precise and includes technical details (like in your other portable review sections). Just a thought ...

Re: Grand Theft Auto V

Good timing for me, as I just started this one as well, maybe a month back. I'm at 20% complete, after maybe 10-15 hours of gameplay, although a lot of that time is spent just goofing around. I've played all the main GTA games, but Vice City is the last one that I really enjoyed. I beat all the PS2 ...

Re: Bethsedia Threatens Seller of Used Game

While that explanation is a little better than the original article made things seem, I still don't agree with it. When I buy or sell on ebay or Amazon, it should be up to me how I represent the item that I'm selling. To me, if I never opened it, then I want to represent it as "New" condit...

Re: This months's free PS+ games

Finally was able to play Dead by Daylight. It's an interesting idea, but one that I think could be done a lot better. For one thing, its still buggy as hell despite being out for, what, close to two years now? The quick time event it springs on you whole fixing the generators never seemed to work f...

Re: Another reason why digital only future is not good for gamers!

I actually found this article pretty interesting, and find a lot of the topics that Sonicx9 posts to be very informative. As a teenager, I would read gaming news sites every day....nowadays, the only way I get gaming news is what everyone here posts on the forums! But Sonicx9, to me the issue is mor...
