Re: Great Moments in Video Game History

Grand Theft Auto III really changed our perception of what 3D games could be. From the go-anywhere sandbox, to running over pedestrians and punching random strangers on the street. It was the first time we really felt like we were living in a realistic present-day world inside a video game, and had ...

Didn't see this one coming! But glad to see it- fun reads, and always good to see more TMNT games reviewed, and Game Boy games. I have Fall of the Foot Clan and your review seems spot on. And, even though you rated TMNT III as the lowest, it sounded the most interesting to me.. I might have to check...

Re: The Darwin Project (PS4)

Well, thanks for trying it so we don't have to.. I eventually got tired of Battle Royale games too, and haven't played one in a long time. It was fun while it lasted though. IMO, Fortnite deserved to be the phenomenon that it was. It's one of the 20 best games I've ever played.

Re: New Game Boy Review Trio

Super Mario Land 2 Wario Land Wario Land II This would have been my guess (and hope) too. If I had to guess something that no one has guessed yet, I'd go with the Battletoads games. Meanwhile, I'll hope it's "Bo Jackson: Two Games in One".. just because it sounds ridiculous. For a good ga...

Re: Great Scott! The Critic has never reviewed a Back to the Future game?

So where do I begin guys? I think generally the newest game -- Back to the Future: The Game -- is considered the best BttF game out there. It's a solid adventure game from Telltale Games, that was released on most consoles from last gen and current gen. Received good reviews overall, averaging arou...

Re: Commander Keen (GBC)

They did a similar thing with Jazz Jackrabbit - another popular 90s PC game, action-platformer. They revived it with a terrible GBA game in 2002, which was Jazz Jackrabbit in name only, and officially killed off the series forever.

Re: Commander Keen (GBC)

Man, Commander Keen.. other than Super Mario World, I might have played Commander Keen more than any other platformer as a kid. The DOS version of course; specifically the first game - "Commander Keen in Invasion of the Vorticons". Interestingly, it was programmed by John Carmack and John ...

Re: Hotline Miami (Switch/PS4/PS3/Vita/PC, 2013)

I also checked and saw it was not free, but listed for $2.49. Still, an absolute steal for one of the best indie games I've ever played. P.S. Ever curious about the going rate for a digital game, and whether they ever go on sale? PSPrices.com is super helpful and covers all modern systems. For examp...

Re: Console Designs: PS5 Vs. Xbox Series X

But will the 360 disc still work once the Xbox One servers are taken down. That's not true backward compatibly IMO. I think it's the same way with the 360, when you play an Xbox game. It downloads a small file that allows you to play it. I've always worried about that, the same way you are now - i....

Re: Console Designs: PS5 Vs. Xbox Series X

I thought that the PS5 looked really cool at first.. but now you guys have me rethinking it, and I'm a bit more on the fence. It sorta reminds me of a router, with all its blue flashing lights. Like a Linksys Router and a Tomytronic 3D had a baby. https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/shopping?q=tbn:AN...
