Re: The history channel video games!

Big thanks for the heads up! I’m always interested in checking out new gaming documentaries.

I looked into the details. For those interested, it airs on the History Channel on Sunday night (June 16) at 9:00 pm ET, with a repeat showing at midnight. It is 2 hours long.

Re: What is your fave Bond game 360?

Activision took over the license during the 360 era, and supposedly the quality went way down. You might have trouble finding one that stacks up to the N64/PS2 games. You can see here how bad the average review scores were: https://www.gamerankings.com/search.html?site=xbox360&search=007 For com...

Re: What to buy?

The Saturn unlocker is a niche item so I'd usually point to something else on that list.. but after hearing all the reasons you've said, it seems like the way for you to go for sure. Panzer Dragoon Saga is my all-time favorite JRPG - and I've played my fair share - so I think that's a very good reas...

Re: 2019/6/12: Xbox: Aquaman

Very interesting re-review. With this D score, Critic, you may have just become the biggest fan of Xbox Aquaman in the world. I know nothing about the game itself - I've never played it. But I do know it has been beaten and battered for 15 years now by critics and gamers, appearing alongside the lik...

Re: Anyone else totally underwhelmed by Cuphead?

I feel like this about a lot of games now. I think, ‘am I missing something?’, and ‘why did this get such good reviews’. Maybe it is just my age (42). My Switch is filled with older games and remasters. I don’t want to sound like a grumpy old smeg though. Pretty much exactly where I am and what I a...

Re: Monday Recap June 10, 2019

Love the recap idea - sounds like fun and gives some insight into future reviews coming down the pipeline. Glad you picked up "A Day At the Races" after I mentioned it. I have that one but never played it. But it's always good to see the chance for a new CD-i review. Windjammers - I have i...

Re: This months's free PS+ games

Although this thread has sort of died off, this month's offerings were too good to not post about. Free for PS4 in June are Borderlands: The Handsome Collection and Sonic Mania . I figure Sonic Mania is a must-play for a lot of us here, and this is a good chance to get it for free. I bought Borderla...

Re: 20th Anniversary Message

Glad we all convinced you to do a little something for the anniversary! Great write-up - brought back some memories and laughs.. especially the part about your friends threatening to connect your consoles to the internet. I imagine there's no worse offense in the VGC household. Sounds like the theme...

Re: 2019/6/7: Genesis: Last Battle, Paperboy II

As a fan of the NES Paperboy growing up, I had to buy Paperboy II after reading your review. I searched it on ebay and then thought "wait, that label looks familiar..." Apparently I already own this Genesis version and didn't even realize it. I've always overlooked it. But thanks for the h...
