Re: PS1 Suggestions

Keep us posted on MGS. Like I mentioned, I played it a few years ago and thought it held up amazingly well for a game from that era - but I'm interested to hear the perspective of someone not clouded by nostalgia. Just make sure you don't miss those good cutscenes..

Re: 2019/8/20: Nintendo Switch: Legendary Fishing, Windjammers

P.S. For Neo Geo owners who like Windjammers, I also recommend checking out Flip Shot and Bang Bead on the system. They are both similar games, and often compared against Windjammers, with opinions varying widely on which is best. I've played the three and might even put Bang Bead ahead of Windjamme...

Re: 2019/8/20: Nintendo Switch: Legendary Fishing, Windjammers

Ah, pretty pumped when I saw this Windjammers review. When I got my Neo Geo cabinet, I bought the MVS version based on your review. It's one of the few great games that isn't on any of the multicarts, so I had to pay over $100 for it. I was very surprised to hear that they were re-releasing it on mo...

Re: Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation (PS1)

Yeah, Tomb Raider had a big dropoff in quality after the first 3, and royally sucked before they rebooted it in recent years. Last Revelation is better left forgotten.

Re: Favorite Movie Series?

I don't watch many movie these days, but you guys inspired me to watch Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. I had watched Raiders of the Lost Ark years ago and liked it, but didn't love it, so I never watched the rest of the series. My wife and I both liked Last Crusade, enough that I might revisit L...

Re: 2019/8/17: Xbox: Outrun 2, Outrun 2006: Coast to Coast

How much better is Outrun 2006? That one got an A+, compared to the A for Outrun 2. Problem is - Outrun 2006 is over $100 on Xbox and over $30 on PS2, whereas Outrun 2 is more affordable. Trying to decide if I'd get the same experience from buying Outrun 2.

Re: Most Terrifying Games of all time?

I'm not a big fan of survival horror games, but I made an exception for Until Dawn recently and I think that would be a good choice. The high anxiety of playing that game eventually made me peek ahead with a walkthrough just to ease the tension. Condemned on Xbox 360 was one that I found really cree...

Re: PS1 Suggestions

Just ordered Metal Gear Solid off of Ebay. Yes I used the link off this site. Probably order a few others as well. Man, my local used game store didn't have jack in the PS1 game section! I was hoping to play a few of these tonight. Oh man, prime choice if you’ve never played MGS before. If someone ...

Re: Sega Genesis Mini

The biggest hang up for me has nothing to do with the system itself - instead, it's the fact that the games are already accessible in so many other forms. For example, the Sega Genesis Classics compilation is pretty amazing (with like 50 games on it), and it's available on all the modern systems -- ...

Re: PS1 Suggestions

Not many good pure adventure games come to mind on PS1, but a few games in similar genres that might scratch the itch are Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, or Final Fantasy VII. They’re each all time classics and still hold up today. Silent Hill, Parasite Eve, or a Resident Evil ...
