Re: 7800 homebrews?

I love Desert Falcon and Food Fight. I'd love to see proper versions in a new flashback. I also like Double Dragon. Not sure why it gets all the hate. It's very playable once you figure out the reverse kick. I also like Choplifter, Xevious, Commando, Rampage, Alien Brigade and Ikari Warriors.

Praise for Desert Falcon

I love this game! I know I'm in the minority but I really enjoy it. The 7800 version is obviously preferred but I also enjoy playing the 2600 (via the DS atari collection) on advanced mode. The action is frantic and I love swooping down grabbing power ups or treasure dodging enemies. It would be nic...

Wii games to play with your wife

Hello,

Does anyone have any suggestions for wii games to play with a non gamer spouse? We have Wii Sports and house of the dead 2 and 3. I was thinking Mario Kart might be good. Thanks in advance!

Re: Sega making some moves. Subscription service?

I downloaded Altered Beast and Comix Zone. I am seeing the frame rate issues but overall I think they are still fun and the lag doesn't hurt the experience too much. That being said I wouldn't pay for them in this state but for free I am not complaining. Hopefully they will resolve the emulation iss...

I remember Captain Silver getting trashed by Electronic gaming monthly back in the day. Rather unjustly I might add. Great to see Master system reviews. Looking forward to the Zillion 2 review promised in the coming attractions.

Please don't remove those icons. They are harmless. People are get offended too easily these days. Thicker skin people.

Re: What was your first console?

My first console was an Atari 7800 in either 87 or 86. My friend convinced me to get a 7800. He said Nintendo's only edge was better graphics. Plus he had a 2600 so I could trade games with him. It didn't take long for me to figure out that wasn't Nintendo's only edge! About a year later I got a Seg...

Re: Tiger Handhelds

I had a bunch of these as a kid and kinda liked them actually. The gameplay was extremely simplified and there wasn't a lot of depth but hey it was a way to kill time if I didn't have access to the TV(and my parents weren't gonna shell out for a Game Boy). I remember After Burner, a Sonic one, Doub...

Re: Tiger Handhelds

I think parents bought these for their kids so they didn't have to spend more money on a game boy (young kids will play nearly anything and think it's good). I used to have a Street Fighter 2 one and I remember playing it religiously all the time. I loved it back then but I think it was more becaus...
