Re: Anyone else totally underwhelmed by Cuphead?

There's a great thread here also stating that Celeste is a big name indie that is overrated. I have not played that or Cuphead, so I won't comment on the quality of those games, but I wonder if the art style in general of some of these indie games is why they get so much praise.

Re: Monday Recap June 10, 2019

Great post. Timely too, coinciding with the 20th anniversary, it gives a look into the basis of what goes in to writing the reviews. Looks like a fun process. I didn't even notice the other tv at first. I have two TV's as well. I currently have a backwards compatible wii, n64, ps2, and original xbox...

Re: Sonic Team Racing (Switch)

I watched a review for this game on youtube, and they did mention that it was 30 frames per second on the switch, as opposed to 60 on the xbox one and ps4. I thought about getting it. I'm not that crazy about the team mechanic, although I'm sure I'd get used to it. The game looks pretty good, but I'...

Re: An unexpected remastered license game announced!

This is interesting. Due to this, I was looking at prices for the game, and they have gone up. The gamecube version of the game is around the same price as the new remaster! I actually found the gamecube version for 8 dollars at a flea market yesterday. Pretty good deal, but the game doesn't work. I...

Re: Has anyone actually ever repaired a game disc without resurfacing?

I have gotten discs to work by dropping the disc into boiling water for like 3 to 5 seconds, then wiping it with an eyeglass cloth. Sometimes gunk gets on it and boiling remedies that. I've done it several times and it did work, and never harmed the disc. No guarantees of course. I've never heard t...

Has anyone actually ever repaired a game disc without resurfacing?

One of the worst feelings is insering a game disc into a system only to find out that it doesn’t work. This happened to me the other night with my 49 cent copy of MLB Inside Pitch 2003 for the original xbox. The disc itself isn’t really in terrible shape; a few light scratches and smudges here and t...

Re: Happy Katana- A Fairly Decent Pop Culture Website

very nice. I read your review for the Get Up Kids' album, which is one of my favorites. Very well written. That album was very good, and now that I think of it, quite different from a lot of their other stuff.

Re: Crash Bandicoot

yes, the save feature is what killed it for me in the first game. Also, it is harder that the other two games, and the lives don't seem to rack up as easily, so you'll be seeing a lot of game overs. I have the n.sane trilogy on Switch and the save feature is improved. I'm going through the first gam...

Re: Looney Tunes Racing (PS1)

Kart racing is probably my favorite genre of gaming, so I try to play most of the big name ones. This one is very good. It does convey the atmosphere of the cartoons. That music can start to get on my nerves after a while when I'm trying to race. I mainly play this game casually in time trials and s...
